William Mapan

Growing up far from the world of art, his journey initially revolved around computers and generative design.

Mapan's artistic awakening began with programming in Flash, but it was during the transition to Processing that he found a medium that resonated deeply with his creative spirit. Simultaneously, he embarked on a journey into art history, initially a passing pursuit, yet one that left an indelible mark. These seemingly disparate interests converged as Mapan sought to refine his artistic eye and skills. Teaching eventually became a pivotal facet of his journey. As a teacher at his alma mater, Gobelins, l'école de l’image in Paris, Mapan imparts his knowledge of creative coding to a new generation.
