The influences of Japanese culture on the art and aesthetics of creative minds are vast and far-reaching, with the Japanese Garden often at the top of the list. Six N. Five pay tribute to these gardens in a series of renders that perfectly encapsulate their peaceful and minimalist essence.

The project, titled Japanese Garden, incorporates elements associated with the stylised landscape: floor pillows, tatami mats, trees pruned with geometric precision, birch wood accents and sliding pagoda doors, all looking out over waterscapes, gravel-covered grounds and lush greenery. Each composition is a picture of restraint and subtlety, a reminder of the Japanese culture’s preference for simplicity; scenes so beautifully rendered, we feel transported just looking at them.

“Portraying the minimal, surreal, and tranquil atmosphere of Japan, we tried to carry a consistent design language throughout each image using elements such as perfectly pruned trees, birch wood accents, and overcast mountain landscapes. The result was these surreal and pleasant compositions surrounded by green and nature.” Six N. Five
