What’s pollination in nature? It’s the transfer of pollen to fertilize. Some plants are able to pollinate themselves or are wind-pollinated, byt most depend on “Collectors”.

What is Pollen? Pollen is an NFT that was airdropped to all Hortensia Open Edition holders. A very rare living work of art. Collectors may keep it, or use it.

How Pollen worked? Pollen evolved your Hortensia NFT through a process called Pollination. 5% of Hortensia’s evolved to be a 1/1 piece, 15% of Hortensia’s evolved to be rare species and 80% of Hortensias evolved to limited species Hortensias.

The pollination process burned (deleted) both the Pollen and the Original Hortensia. The collector immediately received the brand new and evolved Hortensia NFT.

The Pollination Cycle: The Pollen changed four times during the course of one year to correspond with the four seasons of nature. The season in which collectors pollinated their Pollen + Hortensia dictated the outcome of the Hortensia evolution and defined the specific phenomena for the evolved artwork. For example, it was harder to pollinate in Winter, but easier in Spring.

Collectors received one Pollen for each Hortensia Open edition in their wallet, and only two collectors received a Gold Pollen instead.

What is the Gold Pollen? Gold Pollen gave the collectors a higher chance of uniqueness in pollination. Limited by nature to an edition of seven. Only five reserved to specific criteria collectors. Two were airdropped with the pollen (at random).
